Cher was forced to postpone the second leg of her "Dressed to Kill" tour after coming down with what doctors called an "acute viral infection." A statement announcing the rescheduled tour dates was posted on the Times Union Center's website; Cher was supposed to perform their on Thursday, Sept. 11.
"Cher was diagnosed over the weekend with what doctors termed an 'acute viral infection' and has been required to be on full bed rest for several days," according to a statement.
The tour-opening show in Albany, N.Y., scheduled for Sept. 11 has been postponed to Oct. 6.
According to the Los Angeles Times, a show for Sept. 13 in Manchester, N.H., has also been postponed for Oct. 7. The 68-year-old started the first leg of the tour in March. CNN reported that Cher sold out all 49 shows for the first leg, which ended in July. The shows raked in nearly $55 million dollars from 610,000 fans.
Cher still has another 30 shows throughout the United States. She's expected to return to the stage Monday, Sept. 15 for show in Allentown, Pa.
"Last nite was fun," she tweeted in April. "Actually ALL THE NIGHTS HAVE BEEN FUN Am Resting, 3shows in 4 days is rougher than I remember Have bandaids on 6 toes."
