‘RHOA’ Star Apollo Nida Bails on 8-Year Prison Sentence, Hiding Out?

Apollo Nida reportedly got cold feet shortly before he was supposed to begin his eight-year federal prison sentence for money laundering and bank fraud. According to TMZ, Nida, who appears on "Real Housewives of Atlanta" with his wife Phaedra Parks, was supposed to report to authorities by noon today (Sept. 10) but never showed up.

Sources told the site that he reportedly drove to Parks Atlanta home and "went nuts" because she didn't put money into his prison bank account. She also told him that their two kids would not visit him while he was behind bars, TMZ reports.

Nida lost it and started screaming at his wife, "What the f**k is the matter with you," adding, "I don't give a f**k about the police, call them, I dare you."

The source said Nida then went upstairs to the master bedroom, grabbed a bag and started stuffing items in it. According to TMZ, the incident was captured on Bravo cameras. Reportedly if Nida doesn't turn himself in soon, a warrant for his arrest will be issued.

Parks and Nida have been at odds over the last few months, reports claim. A source told Hollywood Life that she's angry over what her husband did.

"She's disgusted. She's angry. But because of Ayden and Dylan [their kids], she's keeping face and being the nice dutiful wife," the source said. "This entire ordeal is extremely hard on her not because Apollo's going to jail, she thinks he's getting what he deserves, it's most difficult because her boys have lost their father. That, to her, is the biggest loss of it all."

According to TMZ, once Nida received his sentence back in July he spent most of his time partying and drinking instead of with Parks and their children. Things got so bad last week that Parks reportedly feared that Nida would hit her, the site reports.
