Tetris creator, Alexey Pajitnov, has launched his first mobile-based game, Marbly, for iOS devices.
Alexey Pajitnov , the creator of the "Greatest Game of All Time," Tetris, has decided to enter the world of mobile devices with his new game Marbly, the first mobile-based puzzle game. The new puzzle-game is exclusively designed for phones and tablets.
The game is published by WildSnake Software for Apple's iOS devices, but it is not likely to come to Android or any other operating system anytime soon.
Marbly is a puzzle game with 180 levels of game-play and additional challenges. In Marbly, players have to move the marbles around the game board by bringing three or more marbles of the same color in a row and eliminating them. A player completes a level once there are no marbles left on the game board. The game is described as "easy to get but tricky to master" on iTunes.
Marbly was released on iTunes, Thursday, May 30, and has been rated 4+ out of a possible 5. The game customized for iPhone 5, is also compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad with iOS version 5.0 or later.
Many reviewers seem to have enjoyed the game. But will it gain popularity to the level of Tetris?
"This game is better than I expected. It's not an ordinary Lines type game. It can get pretty challenging! Definitely worth a try," wrote a reviewer, CCCee, on iTunes.
"It's a good challenge and addicting," another reviewer, Darkmasterdeathslayer, wrote.
Marbly is available for download on iTunes and App Store for free.
