Florida Burglar Takes Nap After Stealing Jewelry

Some days you're just so tired you can't even finish a burglary without falling asleep.

Dion Davis, 29, broke into a Florida home through the kitchen window and filled a plastic bag with jewelry. Before leaving the home, he spotted the victim's bed and decided to take a nap with the jewelry next to him before making a run for it, reports ABC.

Although the family living in the house was away on vacation, Davis' nap was cut short after the housekeeper found the strange man sleeping in the bed with the bag of jewelry and called 911.

Police arrived quickly without their sirens on so they wouldn't wake Davis up, according to ABC reports.

Before Davis' self-incriminating nap, he went through the whole house making piles of everything he planned to steal, Bob Wotring, owner of the house, tells ABC after the incident.

He calls his housekeeper "the Wonder Woman, because she saved all my stuff."

Police are holding Davis on a $10,000 bail. His arrangement date is Oct. 3.
