During an interview on Howard Stern's radio show on Tuesday, Stefani's rocker husband Gavin Rossdale let it slip that that his wife informed him via email that she was pregnant again, while he was on tour with his band, Bush.
"I got this email on the road, from Gwen, and the title was, in capitals, 'LOOK WHAT YOU DID TO ME NOW,'" he recalled. "My blood pressure went through the roof. I opened the email and it was the pregnancy stick."
Rossdale jokingly shared that he knows when the baby was conceived. "I wasn't home that often, but I did go home for Father's Day and that gives Father's Day a new meaning," he told Stern.
Stefani gave birth to their son Apollo Bowie Flynn on Feb. 28, and he has joined two big brothers, 8-year-old Kingston and 6-year-old Zuma. Rossdale also has a 25-year-old daughter, Daisy Lowe, from a previous relationship.
The couple has been married for nearly 12 years, but the British native admits that it is "humiliating" to see stories claiming that he and his wife sleep in separate bedrooms, or that his marriage is over.
The rock star recalled having dinner with friends and family when someone emailed him a copy of an OK! Magazine article that suggested the couple had "split."
"It's so mean-spirited," Rossdale said. "It was the same day with that tragic, terrible shooting down of the plane and I felt so humiliated that anything, even the biggest load of bulls--t, had any place in the media when such a tragic event was going on, and I cursed that magazine and that girl that wrote that, and I just thought, 'what a way to run your life."
Rossdale said he and Stefani, who recently became the newest member of NBC's "The Voice," find time for one another amid their busy schedules.
