'Hunger Games' Actor Josh Hutcherson Defends Jennifer Lawrence After Stolen Nude Photos Surface Online: 'We're People Too, Man'

Jennifer Lawrence’s “Hunger Games” costar Josh Hutcherson is coming to her defense in light of her stolen nude photos.

Hutcherson, who plays Peeta in the “Hunger Games,” recently spoke to ET Canada about the incident. The actor claimed he hadn’t spoken to the actress about the stolen images, but believes it’s “ridiculous” she has to go through something so terrible.

"We're people too, man; we just want to live, we want to be normal people. It's not fair,” Hutcherson told ET Canada.

"I think everyone has their own way of getting through it. It's something you obviously don't want to happen to you and its really unfortunate that it happens but, I don't know. I hate the way the world sort of views those sorts of issues. It's really, truly not fair."

Hutcherson went on to explain actors aren’t joining the business because they wanted their names attached to a “scandal.” The actor claimed he shouldn’t be expected to deal with nude photo “scandals” because he’s in the spotlight and neither any of the other victims.

“We want to live our lives and be actors and like Jen and I always say...people say, 'Well, you chose to be an actor, you are going to have to deal with this kind of thing,'” the actor said.

“Well, no,” he continued, “We didn't chose to have public scandal, we chose to become artists of acting and I love making movies. This is what I can do, this is what I am good at. So it's like, because this is what I am good at and this is my career means I also have to suffer on this other side? Like, it's not very fair."

Lawrence wasn’t the only actress whose private photos were stolen off their personal devices. Victoria Justice, Kate Upton and McKayla Maroney are just a few of the women who were victims of online hackers.
