Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie's marriage could have a happy ending.
The 26-year-old "Chasing the Sun" singer told The Kyle & Jackie O's KIIS 106.5 show that despite being separated for now, there is still a possible chance of reconciliation.
"We've uncoupled for now," she confirmed. "If there wasn't a chance for getting back [together], I think we would've filed for divorce. We're not putting any-I talk about this so much, I really don't want to talk about it anymore-but we are like-I just talked to him this morning! We really care a lot about each other."
The sort of estranged couple married in 2010, but the pair announced their mutual decision to amicably separate in January of this year. The two have remained fairly close and committed to their 2-year-old son, Luca.
"We're just really laid-back, and we're like well whatever happens, happens," Duff continued. "Once we're tired of doing this, we'll either make this choice or make this choice. We just don't really care what anyone thinks. We're being totally honest about it. My life is so up for grabs everyone knows everything."
Last week, the couple was spotted on set of Duff's music video "All About You." A source told E! that they were "very affectionate" and looked "like they were still together." The source added Duff "shot the video all day and into the night and Mike stayed most of the day."
"The two were holding hands, hugging one another during breaks," the insider said.
The singer recently wished Comrie a happy birthday through Instagram by posting a picture of him and son Luca with the caption "Happy birthday Mikey! Have a great boys day."
