There's not much you can't do with technology in today's digital world.
A Japanese game developer got pretty handsy with his new breast-grabbing virtual reality game.
The Oculus Rift game, created by Niconico, is simple. Strap on a pair of virtual goggles, squeeze a novelty anime mouse pad with foam breasts that have pressure sensors inside them, and watch the woman character scream with a horrified expression, covering up her chest.
Video games today are often crossing lines whether the game involves mass shootings or crimes. What is most concerning to most reviewers of this game is the way it dances on the line of sexual harassment and molestation.
"The anime girl, Mami, grabs her chest defensively and makes a surprised noise every time Ryuto pulls a Danny Zucko, giving the whole thing less of an endearing-virgin vibe and more of a subway-groper-in-training theme," says Kate Knibbs, writer for Gizmodo. "Would it have been difficult to make Mami a willing participant to the caressing in this uncanny valley? No more difficult than constructing this whole bizarre project."
