Kelly Osbourne reportedly wants out of E!'s "Fashion Police" following the death of Joan Rivers. A source told Radar Online that Osbourne is having a hard time dealing with the loss and isn't sure if she can continue on with the show.
"Kelly does not want to go on with 'Fashion Police,'" a source told Radar. "She feels that it is pointless to continue on with the show [and] says that anyone you try to replace Joan Rivers with will fail miserably."
"She got so close to Joan while filming and is just in a total state of shock," the source added. "She is so broken right now."
Rivers cohosted the show with Osbourne, Giuliana Rancic and George Kotsiopoulos. Rivers died on Sept. 4, one week after being hospitalized for cardiac and respiratory arrest. She was 81. So far E! has not announced whether it will continue on with the show or not, but taping has been postponed.
According to Page Six, another female comedienne had her eyes set on replacing Rivers. An insider told the newspaper that reportedly Kathy Griffin wanted to take over the job as celebrity fashion critic. However, a close friend of Griffin's denied that the comedienne was gunning for Rivers' job.
"It's not true," said Justin Ongert. "It wasn't Kathy. I know because it would have had to go through me."
"Fashion Police" debuted on the E! Network in September 2010 and featured the hosts commenting on celebrity red carpet fashion. The show became known for picking a best- and worst-dressed as well as taking slight jabs at celebrities.
It often included guest hosts such as Lauren Conrad, Khloe Kardashian, Nicki Minaj, NeNe Leakes, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, Ciara, Tori Spelling and Kimora Lee Simmons.
In August, the show went on a brief hiatus after Rivers was hospitalized.
