Sprint announced Monday that LG's upcoming G3 Vigor smartphone will be available at the carrier's online and retail stores starting Friday, Sept. 19th.
Fans of the South Korean electronics company will be able to buy the new device without a contract for $299.99, or they can use Sprint's Easy Pay program to make 24 monthly payments of $12.50 per month with no money down, according to Android Central.
The 5-inch Vigor comes with a 720p HD display, a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera and an 8-megapixel rear camera.
The phone also runs Android 4.4.2 Kitkat and will provide connection to the Sprint Spark enhanced LTE network, as well as to Wi-Fi, PC Magazine reported.
Sprint said the front-facing camera will feature a soft light "to brighten images using an illuminated border around the display and Gesture Shutter to activate the three-second shutter timer with a simple movement." The telecommunications company added that the feature was included "with selfies in mind."
Additional preloaded features for the Vigor include Smart Cleaning for greater storage space, Smart Keyboard for typing, and Knock Code for security. The device also has Bluetooth 4.0 support, a 3.5mm stereo headset jack, 1GB of onboard memory, and 8GB of internal storage. Users will also be able to use a microSD card to expand internal storage up to 32GB.
The Vigor also provides Wi-Fi calling and acts as a mobile hotspot, supporting eight more Wi-Fi-enabled devices at the same time, PC Magazine reported. Sprint said the device has support for HD Voice and can connect to other phones with the feature in upgraded areas of the company's network.
Sprint customers will be able to buy the LG G3 Vigor in two different colors: Burgundy Red and Metallic Black.
