Chris Brown has finally released his much-awaited album titled "X," which is expected to sell more than 120,000 copies in the first week.
The album was launched September 16, and is Brown's sixth studio compilation. Brown used his Instagram account to announce the release, and he flooded his profile with several pictures of the album cover.
Brown released the first single of the album titled "Fine China" last year, and announced that the album would follow shortly. However, it has taken him more than a year to finish the album and release it, but fans think it was worth the wait. The album also features some famous artists, such as Nicki Minaj, Tyga, Ariana Grande, Lil Wayne, Jhene Aiko, Rick Ross, Usher and Trey Songz. It includes singles like "Don't Think They Know," featuring Aaliyah and "Love More," featuring Nicki Minaj.
Brown aims to showcase his talent as a singer in his new tracks. Earlier projections also suggested that the album will do well. "X" is expected to sell more than 120,000 copies within its first week, according to a report by Singers Room. The report also noted that, alongside Brown's album debut, Barbra Streisand has also released her latest project, "Partners," which is predicted to sell 120,000 copies, as well.
Streisand also has some great talents featured in her album, including the likes of Lionel Richie, Stevie Wonder, John Mayer and Billy Joel.
Brown has been in the news more for his love life than his music. His relationship with singer Rihanna created headlines one time too many. In an interview with Billboard, he was asked whether there would ever be a time when his relationship with Rihanna wouldn't be the topic of gossip.
"When we're not relevant anymore, that might be the case. As long as you're doing something good, people will always bring up old stuff or negative stuff because they don't want you to surpass a certain level," Brown said.
