Shazam has released an update for its Android app that includes Google Play to make it easier for users to listen to their favorite songs.
The integration makes it so that app Android users don't have to switch between apps and look up songs to purchase them, according to PC Magazine. One click lets users buy a song, and the Google Play button is available at the top of the drop-down menu in the Shazam Android app for users to buy tracks right from the online store.
The new version of the app also supports Google Play Music All Access, which gives subscribers the ability to stream tagged songs straight from the app. Those without a subscription can try the service out with a 30-day free trial.
Google Play serves as the search giant's version of iTunes, while All Access serves as an on-demand music streaming service similar to Spotify, The Next Web reported. All Access has been the subject of a recent rumor claiming that it is being revamped.
Google Play will appear with Amazon as an option for buying songs on the Android app. When the user taps the play button, they will be given the option to "listen in Google Play Music" to listen to the song instantly.
Shazam fans can download the new version of the app now through Google Play, PC Magazine reported.
The move come a month after Shazam introduced a new Map app, which includes a variety of capabilities like listening to music being played around the computer, finding songs and creating playlists. The app also provides users with access to lyrics, music videos, and iTunes listings.
