'Destiny' Patch Allows Players To Participate In More Public Events, Fixes Issues Causing Crashes

The latest update to Bungie’s “Destiny” allows gamers to experience more Public Events as the title becomes the U.K.’s biggest new franchise to launch, surpassing Ubisoft’s “Watch Dogs.”

IGN reports official U.K. figures show 46 percent of “Desiny” sales were on PS4, 36 percent on Xbox One, 14 percent on Xbox 360 and four per cent on PS3. The numbers reported represent the sale of physical copies, not digital downloads. The game has reportedly grossed $300 million in its first week.

The developers released a new update on Sept. 14 in order to improve the game’s support and stability. According to Bungie’s official website, the update improved the following:

Engineering

1. Fixes for Xbox One bootflow issues.
2. Changes in network configuration to improve stability.
3. Fixes for issues causing game crashes.

Events

1.Public Events should occur twice as frequently in public spaces.

Speaking of Public Events, the first “Destiny” raid hosted by Bungie has been completed after 11 hours of gameplay. There were strict rules for the raid and not everyone was able to qualify, according to Bungie’s website.

“Among those who do, not everyone will succeed. To even approach this trial of teamwork and combat, the Guardians in your Fireteam will need to be Level 26,” Bungie wrote.

“Bring with you a team that has made the commitment to work together. Configure your loadouts so that you are powerful together in a variety of ways. Communicate with each other. The Raid will demand that you operate as a team. Cooperation is the key to your success.”

The Guardians who completed the Raid go by the name Primeguard. Bungie congratulated the gamers on their success and challenged them to complete the raid on their hardest setting.
