Queens Man Posts Pornographic Images in Window to Offend Immigrant Neighbors

An elderly neighbor is posting pornographic pictures in his front windows so the immigrant family next door can see, ABC 7 reported on Wednesday.

The photographs can be seen clearly from the public sidewalk in the Queens neighborhood. They are so intentionally pornographic that almost anyone would likely be offended by their public display. The father of the 4-year-old boy who lives right next door felt just this way.

"My son! He's four! My nephews are 7 and 9 and they come over and they see this. This is ridiculous it has to stop," said Sanjeev Aggurawal, a neighbor.

The pictures seem to be displayed to offend Aggurawal and his family, the neighbors of the elderly "artist."

"He's upset because some Indian guy moved in next door. That's the basic thing," Sanjeev Aggurawal said.

"Jimmy" is the name his neighbors use for the person who admitted to ABC 7 that he put the pictures up.

"I'm drying them out, they got damp last night," Jimmy said.

Ranchan Aggurawal, a nearby neighbor, also expressed her discomfort with the situation. "When I come outside, I'm afraid of him," she said.

Neighbors in the community have called police, but it hasn't deterred Jimmy from putting the pictures up.

The Aggurawals put up a sheet on their porch so that Piyush, their 4-year-old son, doesn't look over and catch a glimpse of the pictures, but that doesn't help other passerbys.

"Especially because there's a high school in the area, you wouldn't want to see these kinds of things happening. Kids, teenagers, everything," said Syl, a neighbor.

But Jimmy defends that the pornographic images are his "artwork." He has taken them down before, but he almost always puts them back up as soon as the police leave the scene. What neighbors want is for the pictures to come down forever so they can walk their children freely in the neighborhood.
