Mel B, full name Melanie Brown, has gone on to enjoy a successful career since her Spice Girls days, but she still enjoys dishing the dirt about her time with the British pop group.
The former Scary Spice revealed the group's true feelings toward each other while they dominated the charts in the late 1990s. "We fought like cats and dogs," Mel B told Larry King during a recent appearance on "Larry King Now."
The all-girl group formed in 1996 with members Victoria Beckham, Melanie Chisholm, Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell and Mel B. Halliwell made an abrupt exit from the Spice Girls in 1998, which led to the group's dissolution two years later.
"We had a five-year plan that got shortened after three years," Mel B said of her groupmate leaving so soon.
Halliwell left the group on Mel B's birthday (May 29), and right before the American leg of their tour. The two groupmates eventually made up, but Mel B won't let her friend forget about the incident.
"I still remind her of it," she told King. "Like, I saw her a couple weeks ago and I said, 'Do you remember when you left on my birthday.'"
The girls each used Spice Girls to springboard their own individual aspirations. "We always knew Victoria was going into fashion, Mel C was going into music, Emma went into radio, and I wanted to do a bit of everything," the "America's Got Talent" judge said.
She also chatted up Meredith Vieira about her first pregnancy that went much smoother than that of her fellow Spice Girl, Victoria Beckham. The two women were both pregnant with their first child while on tour.
"I had a really easy pregnancy. Super easy," Mel B told the new daytime talk show host. "Me and Victoria were pregnant at the same time. She was running off stage to go vomit, and I was like 'Oh my God, that was so tough. Really tough.' She had a really tough time, but mine was easy."
Brown wrapped up her second season as judge on NBC's "America's Got Talent" on Sept. 17.
