Electronic Arts is repackaging its Need for Speed: Rivals in an all-new Complete Edition to wrap each of NFS Rivals' DLC in one bundle that will arrive on October 21.
The game publisher has thrown in a new deal to overcome its decision to release no new games this year. On Thursday, EA's Ghost Games announced that the most recent Need for Speed Rivals will be repacked into a brand new release. The Need for Speed Rivals Complete Edition, as it is called, will feature all downloadable content (DLC) from NFS Rivals in one bundle.
The Complete Edition of the well-received car-racing title will include all six DLC that were released in the past. They include: the Ferrari Edition Special Complete Pack (Ferrari F40 and F50 cars for cops and racers), the Simply Jaguar Complete Pack (Jaguar C-X75 and Jaguar XJ220 cars), the Concept Lamborghini Complete Pack (Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Super Trofeo and Lamborghini Miura Concept cars), the Koenigsegg Agear One, the Complete Movie Pack, and the Loaded Garage Pack, according to the company's press release.
"Players will get the chance to take the rivalry between cops and racers to Redview County with even more cars. Play as either a cop or racer, where each side of the law has its own set of high stakes challenges, rewards and consequences. Risk everything in the ultimate high stakes rivalry," EA explained about the latest release.
The Complete Edition will be available across all platforms, including the next-gen consoles Xbox One and Sony PS4 along with Xbox 360, PS3 and for PCs through Origin. The bundled title will be released for buyers in North America on Oct. 21 and in Europe starting Oct. 24. The pricing of the new bundle remains unknown till date but is expected to be revealed soon.
NFS fans will be scoring quite a deal with the NFS Rivals Complete Edition. EA has still not changed its decision to launch a new title this year after its brief post in May, where Marcus Nilsson of Ghost Games said the company will "not release a Need for Speed in 2014." The game developer is working to bring the best game experience and will release the next iteration sometime in 2015, PCMag reports.
