Peyton Manning Says Pot Sales Helping Papa John's Business

Papa John's sales are booming, and Peyton Manning hinted that it could be due to the legalization of pot in Colorado.

When asked if he votes during an interview with Sports Illustrated's Monday Morning Quarterback with Peter King, Manning hinted on the fact that new laws are helping the pizza business.

"There's some different laws out here in Colorado. Pizza business is pretty good out here, believe it or not, due to some recent law changes," said Manning.

The legalization of marijuana in Colorado was passed earlier this year in January.

Although Manning didn't specifically say he was referencing the marijuana laws, it makes sense that he was referring to that law helping the franchise since he opened four new locations in Colorado over the past several months, reports NY Daily News.

Also, at this time last year Papa John's stock was at 35.86, as compared to today's 40.90, as shown on Yahoo Finance.

Manning never publically made a comment about his stance on Colorado's marijuana laws.
