Kobe Bryant's request to dismiss a lawsuit that involves his mother, Pamela, and an auction company has been denied according to the Bleacher Report.
The Los Angeles shooting guard is bickering with his mother because she reportedly made a deal with Goldin Auctions to sell some of his high school memorabilia and Lakers gear.
While Bryant was filing a lawsuit to prohibit his mother from selling some of his sacred items, Goldin Auctions filled a lawsuit against the athlete to prohibit his interference with the inked deal the company made with Pamela. As a five-time champion, Bryant's memorabilia is expected to make lucrative sales.
The lawsuit trial will take place in Camden County, New Jersey although Bryant had hoped to relocate the court proceedings to California. There have been no reports if Bryant is requesting compensation for suffering or if he will be granted a percentage of the profits once the items are sold.
The two-time Finals MVP is currently recovering from a career threatening injury. Bryant suffered from a torn Achilles tendon as his team tried to enter the 2013 playoff season in early April. The athlete has taken to social networks, Twitter and Instagram, to document his recovery and interact with fans awaiting his return.
Bryant's surgery was successful and he's began physical therapy and is expected to make a remarkable recovery. The athlete told Twitter followers retirement isn't on his agenda.
It's been speculated that a recent tweet made by Bryant reveals he is suffering from a heavy heart because of the legal issues stemming from his mother's actions.
No statement from Pamela or Goldin Auctions have been made.
