A British husband desperate to win back his estranged wife waited in line for almost two days for the iPhone 6, The New York Daily News reported on Saturday.
Darius Wlodarski, 41, got in line outside of a Bristol, England Apple store on Wednesday - two days before the phones hit shelves - just to make sure he got one.
Wlodarski and his wife Joanna parted ways last month and Wlodarski is determined to make good on his promise that he would but her the new phone.
Though he doesn't expect the present to get them back together, he hopes it will bring her some happiness, according to the Bristol Post. He was married to his wife for twenty years, but she left because he wasn't the husband and father she envisioned.
"She told me she would like an iPhone 6 because it had a bigger screen, but realized we could not afford it, but still, I want to buy it for her," he told the paper.
Wlodarski, who is out of work due to health problems, is paying for the iPhone on a credit card.
"I hope I can convince her I could be a good husband and father," he said.
