Sony announced Monday that it will make its PlayStation TV set-top box available for PlayStation fans in North America on Oct. 14th.
Gamers will be able to use PS TV to play games from several of the Japanese tech giant's consoles, such as the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and Vita, according to Kotaku.
The set-top box will be available for $100 by itself, as well as for $140 in a special bundle that includes an 8GB memory card, the LEGO Movie video game, and a DualShock 3 controller.
Gamers will also be excited to hear that the PS TV will come with almost 700 titles to play on the first day of its launch, Gamespot reported. They will also be able to play games from the PS One and the PSP.
Streaming PS4 games from one PS4 console to a separate television connected to PS TV will also be possible through Sony's Remote Play feature. PS TV users will be able to do the same with PS3 games once Sony makes its PlayStation Now streaming service available for the set-top box.
Sony provided a short list of titles that will be featured in the PS TV lineup in the PlayStation Blog. These games include Dragon's Clown, Borderlands 2, Metal Gear Solid, the God of War Collection, and Adventure Time: The Secret of the Nameless Kingdom.
The company added that it will continue to add titles to the PS TV game list.
