Skype announced Monday that it has received an iOS 8 update that brings all-new interactive notifications to its messaging service.
The new feature allows users to respond to different activities directly from notices when they appear, such as text messages, voice messages and video calls, according to TechCrunch.
Users can swipe left to answer or decline inbound voice for audio and video calls. When users are at the lock screen, they can swipe left to choose either to answer incoming video calls with video or with voice.
The notifications also provides different ways to deal with missed calls, which are to call the person back or send a text, PC Magazine reported. Users can also reply in the text box when they receive a message.
When the phone is unlocked, the user can pull down on the banner notification at the top to answer calls, TechCrunch reported.
Users can swipe left to reply to new messages on the lock screen or pull down if the message is a banner notification. The device has to be unlocked in order to open up a reply input box, which users can do with their PIN or their Touch ID unlock.
Skype fans with their own ideas for features can go to the new Skype iOS Ideas Group to share what they have to offer, PC Magazine reported.
