Terri Seymour is pregnant.
The "Extra" correspondent announced Monday that she is expecting her first child with boyfriend of three years Clark Mallon, who is a British model. People Magazine reported that the 39-year-old TV personality is four months pregnant.
"I'm extremely excited and really happy to say I'm pregnant," Terri said. "Clark and I are going to be a mummy and daddy."
During a photo shoot with Hello! Magazine, the couple revealed that they were trying to get pregnant and have had a hard time keeping the exciting news a secret.
"It has been quite hard to keep it under wraps," Seymour said about her pregnancy. "We haven't told many people. It's going to become so much more real when everyone knows."
Mallon added: "To start with, it was quite a lot to get my head around - it's such a life-changing event - but now I can't wait to be a dad and start my family with Terri. She has just started to show, and it's very exciting."
The news comes just seven months after her ex-boyfriend former "American Idol" judge Simon Cowell welcomed his first child. The two have maintained a close friendship since ending their relationship in 2008.
Cowell took to Twitter Monday to send his former flame well wishes on her pregnancy and joked that the child should be named after him.
"Congratulations @TerriSeymour and Clark. Me and Lauren are very excited for you both. If it's a boy you can call him simon," the "X Factor" judge wrote.
"He's so thrilled for us," she said of her ex. "We were having dinner in LA, and I told him, and he was over the moon. Actually immediately after congratulating me the first thing he said was he had to be the godfather."
Seymour admitted she swore Cowell to secrecy about her pregnancy because she wanted to tell his girlfriend and mother of his child, Lauren Silverman, herself. The 54-year-old music mogul, who welcomed son Eric in February, reportedly joked about playing matchmaker between the two babies.
"Then he said it was perfect timing with his son Eric being so young and he hoped I would have a baby girl so he could set her up with Eric and they could date," Seymour said. "'How perfect would that be,' he said. Typical Simon."
