'Destiny' Updates Difficulty Settings On Three Missions, Promises To Fix 'Death' Bug

Bungie’s latest “Destiny” patch decreases the difficulty on completing certain missions and raids in the title.

The update focuses on three specific activities gamers have complained of being especially difficult to complete. The raids can take hours at times and requires a lot of coordination in order to complete. Check out the updates in the list below from Bungie's official blog.

Missions
1. Shrine of Oryx: Reduced difficulty by removing majors from Heroic tiers
2. Sword of Crota: Reduced difficulty by removing majors from Heroic tiers
3. Exclusion Zone: Reduced difficulty by removing majors from Heroic tiers

Raids
1. Dropping the relic at the end of the raid will no longer result in a team wipe. This will prevent players being stuck at a black screen after the raid.
2. You will remain dead if you were dead when the mission ended. That will be addressed by a future patch.

However, IGN reports Bungie has yet to fix a bug “that sees players remain dead if they die as the mission ends will be addressed in a future patch.” The next update will reportedly address this issue.

The first seven days since the release of “Destiny” has kept gamers busy, according to Bungie. The developers have released statistics from their community’s gameplay action in their latest blog post.

Players have clocked in 100 millions hours of gameplay time amongst 137 million activities available in “Destiny.” One billion players have also taken on the Crucible.

“The Average Gameplay Session lasts about 3 hours. On weekdays. On weekends it turns out you have some extra time to kill, raising the average up to more than 4 hours per session,” according to Bungie.
