Two newly released photos of Phil Spector show how much of a toll prison and age have had on the "Wall of Sound" music legend. The most recent photo shows a bald, emotionless-looking 73-year-old Spector staring directly into the camera on Oct. 28, 2013, NBC News Reported on Wednesday.
Terry Thornton, spokeswoman for the California Department of Corrections said that the October photo was taken when Spector was transfered to the prison system's large California Heath Care Facility in Stockton. The facility provides medical and mental health care to the state's sickest inmates, like those with chronic conditions.
Spector is serving 19 years to life in prison for the 2003 killing of actress Lana Clarkson. Sporting bizarre wigs during his trials and testimony about violent behavior soiled his reputation as the musical genius who created the "Wall of Sound."
