Apple has started receiving complaints from iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus owners about their devices bending while under pressure.
The issue is taking place only a few days after the Cupertino, California-based company made the two new aluminum-cased devices available in stores around the world, according to CNET. Users have been posting photos of their bent iPhones online, saying they can't put the devices in their pockets without it bending.
The design flaw appears to affect the top end of the iPhones, close to where the volume buttons are located.
Video blog Unbox Therapy posted a 4.5-minute video in which it tested the iPhone 6 Plus's bendability, with host Lewis Hilsenteger finding that the device bent when he put pressure on it with his hands, MarketWatch reported.
"Unfortunately, under the pressure of my hand, it does bend quite significantly," Hilsenteger says in the video. "Bottom line: Here is an aluminum phone, it is going to bend if you apply enough pressure like I just did ... Not necessarily the piece of information you want to receive as owners of this new device."
Apple has yet to respond to a request for comment on the bending issue.
