Clay Aiken has no sympathy for those who take nude photos.
The former "American Idol" runner-up and current North Carolina congressional candidate said in an interview with The Washington Post that the victims of this summer's celebrity nude photo leak scandal deserved to be hacked.
"Anybody who takes inappropriate pictures of themselves deserves exactly what they get," Aiken said. "Of course whoever [stole and released the photos] should be hogtied. And it's unfortunate that we don't have internet security right now or the laws in place to protect people from pirating that stuff."
Jennifer Lawrence, Kirsten Dunst, Kate Upton and Kaley Cuoco were among the numerous victims who had their personal pictures stolen back in August.
Over the weekend, several more celebrities joined the list of victims, including Kim Kardashian, Meagan Good, Kate Bosworth, Hayden Panettiere, Gabrielle Union and former Disney darling Vanessa Hudgens.
"It has come to our attention that our private moments, that were shared and deleted solely between my husband and myself, have been leaked by some vultures," Union said in a statement, according to TMZ. "I can't help but to be reminded that since the dawn of time women and children, specifically women of color, have been victimized, and the power over their own bodies taken from them. These atrocities against women and children continue worldwide."
