The Philidelphia Flyers traded out their ice girls in skimpy outfits for male ice cleaners in jerseys, and the fans didn't like it.
Monday was the first time the male crew cleaned the ice during a game. All three times the 12 ice boys skated out to clean off the ice in black pants and orange jackets they were booed.
The ice girls were tired of being sexualized in their uniforms, complained of being underpaid and were unhappy overall with their work conditions, reports Mother Jones.
The Flyers solved the problem - so they thought - by getting rid of the complaining girls and substituting them with a team of fully-clothed men.
Not only did the team lose the game that night, dissappointing the fans, but the fans also lost one of their favorite things about seeing the game live.
