While most people believe Hooters is the raciest restaurant chain in America, a similar restaurant by the name of Twin Peaks is on its way to claiming that spot.
The waitresses wear khaki pants, boots and tops that are designed to reveal their cleavage. The women are judged based on hair, slenderness, makeup, and the cleanliness of their uniforms, according to Bloomberg BusinessWeek.
The target customers for the restaurant are mostly males, and waitresses serve plates with names like "well-built sandwiches" and "smokin' hot dishes," or drinks that also have sexual innuendos in the names, such as the "Dirty Blonde" and the "Knotty Brunette."
Randy DeWitt, CEO of Twin Peaks, said the success of his "breastaurant" is due to its menu, since it makes its food from scratch, and the beer is served at temperatures close to freezing.
"If you can deliver a beer in August with ice crystals on it every single time, that's something special," DeWitt said.
Twin Peaks, like similar restaurants, is facing its share of complaints. The establishment seems too overcrowded in densely-populated cities, and some customers find the atmosphere to be a bit too racy due to the skimpiness of the servers' outfits, Business Insider reported.
"Lingerie night makes even me a little uncomfortable sometimes," one patron in Houston, Texas, wrote.
DeWitt's history in the restaurant business includes starting a chain of seafood restaurants called the Rockfish Grill in his hometown of Dallas, Texas, which saw success, Bloomberg BusinessWeek reported.
"I surveyed the area," DeWitt said. "I realized, 'OK, the, Macaroni Grill isn't doing well, TGI Fridays isn't doing what it's used to, Bennigan's is suffering.'"
With 57 locations across the U.S., Twin Peaks makes $3.6 million a year on average with each restaurant. This feat puts Twin Peaks $1 million ahead of the average Hooters or Titled Kilt Pub & Eatery.
