Fake Gun Threat Helps Police Catch Teen Burglars

A homeowner successfully detained three teens who broke into his home by pretending to have a gun.

After calling police, the man (who was not identified) approached the teens with a knife beneath his shirt pretending it was a gun, reports ABC News.

"I'll shoot him in the f****** head," he told the burglary suspects while on the phone with police, reports ABC. "You stay right there - don't move. You stay on the ground."

He forced the three young masked men into a closet and locked the door. He was stern with them, and even lectured the kids a bit.

"What were you guys thinking?" he asked the teens. "You don't come in someone's house. This isn't your house."

It wasn't until after police arrived that he explained his witty plan to the authorities.

Police arrested the teens on the scene, later discovering they armed themselves with the homeowners airsoft gun, knives and tools, reports ABC.

Two of the three arrested already admitted to the crime.
