John Rich Wants to Play Poker with President Obama—And Says He Can Beat Him

Country star John Rich says he'd like to play poker with President Obama - and the "Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy)" singer indicates he could beat the most powerful man on the planet at cards.

On a segment of "Hannity" on Fox News last night (Sept. 25) , Rich joined on a panel of guests discussing whether President Obama's recent decision to bomb Iraq and Syria was politically motivated.

"I'd like to play poker with the president someday," declared Rich, "because it would be so easy to win-because he shows you all his cards the entire time.

"My granddaddy was a World War II vet who was a 'tunnel rat,'" continued Rich. "He would tell me about going into a cave with a flamethrower. And they did not tell the Japanese, 'Hey, by the way, we're coming in with a flamethrower, you might want to get out of the way.' They just went in, and went and won the war."

Rich says he doesn't believe President Obama should show all his cards when it comes to telling the American people and the world what he plans for military actions and he shouldn't tell us what he's not going to do, either.

"I don't think the president has to tell us everything he's gonna to do," commented Rich. "For God's sake, keep something to himself."

The show's host, Sean Hannity, interjected, "But he can't tell us what he's not going to do. No boots on the ground. No 'shock and awe.'"

Rich agreed, adding, "That's what I mean. Don't tell us that kind of stuff."

The country music super duo Big & Rich - John Rich and Kenny Alphin - released their latest album, "Gravity," Sept. 23.
