If you're a cat person or you've ever hung out with cats belonging to someone else, you are no doubt aware of a major cat truism: cats always get their way. Always.
Taylor Swift, who owns two feline bundles of determination, obviously knows this fact about cat nature, reports nashvillegab.com. That's why fans may see the singer carrying her cat Olivia Benson around New York in paparazzi pictures.
She explained her oh-so-cute purring travel companion to "Access Hollywood" during this month's iHeartRadio Music Festival.
"The kitten freaks out about being put in the cat carrier," dishes Swift to Us Magazine, "so I was just like, 'Okay, all right, we're gonna just do this!'"
So, how far would her kitty have to travel in the cat carrier?
"It was like a 10-foot walk from my door to the car," Swift told People.
The "Shake It Off" singer unveiled the feline Olivia Benson - named after Mariska Hargitay's tough-yet-sensitive detective on "Law and Order: SVU" - in June.
She joined Swift's first cat, Meredith Grey, an English Fold Swift once described as her "roommate."
Swift recently told Rolling Stone that she briefly worried about what might happen if she adopted a second cat. But the worry quickly faded.
"I asked around: I was like, 'Does two cats count as cats?' But then I thought, 'What imaginary guy's perspective am I thinking about this from?'" she said. "Someone is going to think I'm undateable for a lot of reasons before they think I'm undateable because I have two cats."
No doubt Olivia Benson and Meredith Grey would agree.
