NFL Week 4: Sunday Night Football Injury Report; Numerous Questionables for Cowboys and Saints

The Dallas Cowboys and New Orleans Saints are slated for an interesting matchup on Sunday Night Football, but they both could be without some key players. With defensive injuries on both sides, it's likely to be a high scoring game.

For New Orleans, they'll still be without running back Mark Ingram, who is expected to miss about a month with a broken hand. Two other inactives for the Saints include running back Erik Lorig (ankle) and safety Marcus Ball (hamstring). But there are a number of questionable players who could be out of action tonight.

Cornerback Patrick Robinson (hamstring), center Jonathan Goodwin (ankle), linebacker David Hawthorne and tight end Benjamin Watson (groin) are all listed as questionable. Robinson did not participate in practice this week, while Goodwin, Hawthorne and Watson were all limited participants. Hawthorne's absence could exploit the middle of the defense for Dallas running back DeMarco Murray, and missing Robinson will affect New Orleans' depth at cornerback.

Dallas hasn't any new significant injuries, but their defense is still banged up. They have five defensive players listed as questionable including defensive end Anthony Spencer (knee), defensive tackles Davon Coleman (knee), Terrell McClain (concussion) and Henry Melton (hamstring), and linebacker Rolando McClain (groin). The Dallas defense has already looked poor this season, surrendering almost 70 points.

But the Dallas offense has come alive after a dismal Week 1 performance against the San Francisco 49ers. Tony Romo has completed 67.4% of his passes for 674 yards and four touchdowns and DeMarco Murray is continuing his dominance from last year, with 75 carries for 385 yards and three touchdowns in 2014. If the Cowboys can manage to stop the Saints a few times on offense, they could be winners tonight, but New Orleans has won eight of the last 10 matchups, including all four that were at Dallas.
