Singer-songwriter Josh Kelley, brother of Lady Antebellum's Charles Kelley, is branching out musically. He just scored a new movie, starring his stunning wife, Katherine Heigl.
"It's a big Sony movie, and it was just a huge opportunity for me to get involved," Josh tells Alanna Conaway of Country Weekly. "It's going to come out next year around Valentine's Day. We're very excited about it, and already, other opportunities have been coming from me doing this. Now I'm trying to figure out how to juggle between being an artist with also now being a composer!"
Josh describes the as-yet-titled independent movie is being a dark comedy. He went on to compare the new film with one of his all-time favorite movies. "It's like a female version of 'American Psycho,'" Josh says, laughing. "It's awesome and going to be amazing!"
The new film is set to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival. That's extremely convenient for Josh and Heigl-their Utah home is only about 15 minutes from where the festival is held each year.
In addition to the upcoming movie starring his wife, Josh keeps churning out his own music. His latest independent release, "Mandolin Rain," has already become a Top 5 hit on satellite radio.
