Donald Trump Pranked On Twitter, Retweeted Photo Of British Serial Killers

Donald Trump's antics on Twitter are well known, but this time, the mogul seemingly has egg on his face, The Guardian reported.

The "Apprentice" guru was sent a photo of a couple by a Twitter user with the message: "My parents who passed away always said you were a big inspiration. Can you please RT for their memory?"

Trump happily retweeted the image to his account, not knowing that the picture was of infamous British serial killers Fred and Rose West. The couple horrifically tortured and raped many young women and girls, killing at least 11 of them and their families between 1967 and 1987.

In retaliation, Trump tweeted: "Some jerk fraudulently tweeted that his parents said I was a big inspiration to them + pls RT-out of kindness I retweeted. Maybe I'll sue."

He added: "I thought I was being nice to somebody re their parents. I guess this teaches you not to be nice or trusting. Sad!"

Twitter users by and large didn't have kind words for The Donald.

User @ehewens said: "You were being 'nice and trusting?' That must have felt weird."

User @itshollywould said: "Maybe it's a sign that you should stop retweeting 'Pro You' tweets Donald? It's not very becoming."

But one user had something a little different to say. User @Lorie_Acosta said "That is sad and terrible. I wish you would run for office. Will you? Clean up this country."

What Acosta didn't mention is that Trump said in January that he may run for president in the 2016 election, according to The Huffington Post. He toyed with the idea of running for the 2012 Republican nomination for president, but pulled out months before the primary.
