Amanda Bynes Arrested For DUI Nearly Six Months After Getting Her License Back

Old habits die hard! Actress Amanda Bynes was arrested for driving under the influence on Riverside Drive in Sherman Oaks, California, according to E! News.

The 28-year-old former child star was reportedly pulled over by the California Highway Patrol on Sunday morning at 3 a.m. Bynes was charged with a misdemeanor as police "determined she was under the influence of a controlled substance" while driving.

The actress was held at the Van Nuys, California, station on $15,000 bail and released at 12:44 p.m. that same day, E! News reported.

The news is unfortunate for the actress, who is still serving a three-year probation sentence from her DUI arrest back in 2012, where she reportedly sideswiped a car leaving minor damages on both vehicles. Along with probation, Bynes was ordered to attend three months of alcohol education classes.

Bynes is scheduled to appear in court on October 23.

The arrest comes nearly seven months after the "What a Girl Wants" actress was given back her driver's license, the New York Daily News reported. In April, the suspension placed on Bynes' record was lifted, according to the Department of Motor Vehicles' (DMV) records.

The actress has been under the care of her parents, and has enrolled herself at the Fashion Institute in Orange County outside of Los Angeles, California.
