Ever since the announcement of a new "Star Wars" trilogy, it seems to be open season on the six preceding films. While the three that George Lucas himself ham-fistedly directed from 1999 through 2005 ranged from downright embarrassing ("The Phantom Menace") to just meh ("Revenge of the Sith"); I don't think there's any room for debate on the enduring legacy of the original trilogy which ran from 1977 through 1983. OK...OK... "Return of the Jedi" was kind of lame. As were the Ewoks. And the whole second Death Star thing was pretty ridiculous as well...
Anyway, my point is that I don't typically find take-downs of the original trilogy of Star Wars films all that amusing, but I have found one that's particularly well done, in my humble opinion. It's a three-minute precis of the original trilogy, from the wits at TL;DW...just in case you missed the movies the first time around. Warning: SPOILERS! Thanks to Boing Boing for the heads up.
