Adam Sandler is moving to Netflix.
Netflix announced that the 48-year-old comedy actor will star in and produce four new feature films exclusively on the streaming service, USA Today reported.
Ted Sarandos, Netflix Chief Content Officer, said Sandler's movies rank among the most viewed by Netflix members. The deal is a part of the company's push into producing original programming.
"People love Adam's films on Netflix and often watch them again and again," Sarandos said. "His appeal spans across viewers of all ages - everybody has a favorite movie, everyone has a favorite line - not just in the U.S. but all over the world."
Sandler's Happy Madison Productions would work alongside the company, which has over 50 million members. The "Saturday Night Live" alum's first project is set to arrive in 2015.
"When these fine people came to me with an offer to make four movies for them, I immediately said 'yes' for one reason and one reason only... Netflix rhymes with 'wet chicks,'" Sandler jokingly said in a prepared statement. "Let the streaming begin!"
Sandler's films have grossed about $3.9 billion worldwide at the box office. The actor has several projects in the works, including "Men, Women & Children" co-staring Jennifer Garner and "The Cobbler," both of which premiered at the 2014 Toronto Film Festival.
Sandler has star in, produce and write many films, including "The Wedding Singer," "The Longest Yard," "Anger Management," "50 First Dates," "Click," "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry," "Grown Ups" and "Grown Ups 2."
Netflix recently announced plans to release a sequel to "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" the same day it hits the big screen.
