MMA legend Georges St-Pierre responded to reports about him coming back to the sport Wednesday, saying he has not yet decided on making a return to the Octagon.
The response follows two statements made earlier this week about "Rush's" return to fighting, one from Renzo Gracie on "The MMA Hour" and another from GSP's former manager Stephane Patry on RDS, according to MMA Fighting. St-Pierre has yet to state if he is done with fighting or if he will come back.
"Georges has absolutely no return plan [right now]," said Firas Zahabi, long-time coach and friend of St-Pierre.
Zahabi responded to Petry's statement about GSP opening a gym in Montreal, saying it will not be for MMA training, but for rehabilitation.
"Nothing exciting," he said.
GSP's statement follows almost a year after he relinquished the UFC welterweight title and announced he was taking an indefinite leave of absence, Bleacher Report said.
The French Canadian athlete would still train with other fighters to help them get ready for their bouts in his time away from MMA. He announced on Twitter in March that he tore his left ACL during a training session.
Whether or not GSP will come back to fighting has been a question discussed among many MMA fans, as he is not only UFC's most popular fighter, but is also considered to be one of the best fighters in history.
33-year-old St-Pierre's last fight was against Johnny Hendricks at UFC 167, which resulted in GSP's victory and announcement about leaving the sport, MMA Fighting reported.
Hendricks would go on to beat Robbie Lawler to win the vacant welterweight championship. He is set to defend his title against Lawler in a rematch at UFC 181 on Dec. 6th.
One good reason for GSP to return could be UFC President Dana White's offer for a title shot if he ever comes back.
