ABC News reported that a new hostage has been identified by ISIS as their next victim.
American aid worker Peter Kassig was shown on his knees in the same video in which Alan Henning was murdered by a professed member of ISIS.
According to New York Daily News, Kassig is a former U.S. Army Ranger who started his own aid group called Special Emergency Response and Assistance.
According to the Daily News, Kassig disappeared in 2013, but his family did not publicize his disappearance in compliance with kidnapper demands.
Ed and Paula Kassig, the hostage's parents, released a statement saying, "We ask everyone around the world to pray for the Henning family, for our son, and for the release of all innocent people being held hostage in the Middle East and around the globe."
