Once the news got out that Carrie Underwood is pregnant, people started wondering whether the country superstar wanted to welcome a boy or a girl into the world in the spring of next. Now we know the answer: she's hoping for a baby girl.
Underwood appeared on "America's Morning Show," where she talked all things baby, including her diaper experience ... or lack thereof. "I've never changed a diaper before," Underwood revealed sheepishly, reports Taste of Country.
The "Something in the Water" hit-maker and her husband, NHL player Mike Fisher, are-of course-overjoyed about their new addition. Underwood says Fisher "literally did a fist pump, and he was like, 'sweet!'" when he heard the news.
While she was in the "America's Morning Show" studio, hosts Blair Garner, Terri Clark and Chuck Wicks spoke with the superstar about her pregnancy - and challenged the singer to participate in a diaper changing contest, reports countrymusicislove.com.
Even though Underwood insists that they don't know the sex of the baby just yet, Garner was quick to predict that she's having a baby girl."I am," she asked, adding that she hopes he's right. "I just feel like we need some frills happening," she said. "We'll of course be overjoyed with either. I'm the only one that's kind of like, 'I kind of hope it's a girl a little bit.'"
As for when she's due, that's something the couple plans to keep a secret for now. "There's very few things in our world that you can kind of keep for yourselves," she said. She also added that they "definitely" don't have any names picked out just yet.
Before the "America's Morning Show" segment was over, Underwood and Wicks, who had never changed a diaper before either, participated in a diaper changing challenge. Underwood proved she's ready to take care of her own bundle of joy - she won the contest!
