Seattle, coming off their bye week, is still dealing with injuries. Seahawks safety Kam Chancellor practiced Monday after dealing with an ankle problem, according to ESPN, but tight end Zach Miller will be sidelined for several weeks after undergoing ankle surgery during the bye week. Second-year pro Luke Willson, who has one catch this season, is expected to start in place of Miller.
"When you're the backup guy, you kind of always want to prepare for it," Willson said, via ESPN. "I've been here practicing and we rotate so it's one of those things where I don't really feel like I'm entering new territory."
As for Chancellor, Seahawks coach Pete Carroll doesn't see the ankle being an issue anymore.
"He looked great (Monday)," Carroll said. "It was an issue a couple of weeks ago, mounted him up in San Diego. He made it back and did a really good job last week and played great football."
Washington, meanwhile, will start Kirk Cousins at quarterback again. Cousins hasn't won either of his two starts this season, seemingly ending the potential quarterback controversy that looked to be simmering after a string of games where he put up big numbers. Griffin is still sidelined after injuring his ankle, but NFL.com reported Washington expects the 2012 Rookie of the Year to return in three weeks against the Dallas Cowboys.
Griffin appeared at practice this week. Although he only jogged, first-year coach Jay Gruden called it "significant" progress, according to CBS Sports.
