Taylor Swift Performs with The Rolling Stones (VIDEO)

The Rolling Stones, who're celebrating their 50th anniversary with the 50 & Counting Tour, were joined on stage Monday by a singer who's less than half that age.

Taylor Swift, 23, performed "As Tears Go By" with Mick Jagger, at the Chicago United Center on Monday night.

The news of Swift performing with The Rolling Stones was spilled by the band on their Twitter page earlier on June 3. "Looking forward to singing with @taylorswift13 tonight! Wonder which song we will do?" tweeted Jagger. That song was revealed in a later tweet to be "As Tears Go By", a song written in 1964 by Jagger, Keith Richards and Andrew Loog Oldham.

A video and pictures of Swift and Jagger performing together were posted on The Rolling Stones' Twitter page after the concert. Swift retweeted the pictures on her own timeline.

"Filing this under 'never in my wildest dreams'. Thank you @RollingStones for inviting me to Chicago to sing with you," said one of her tweets. "Filing this under 'friends forever'," said another tweet, which tagged Jagger. The legendary frontman of the band tweeted, "It was great singing with you @taylorswift13 last night and doing the twirl!"

Some of the biggest names in the music business have joined The Rolling Stones on their 50 & Counting Tour. Past guests include: Mary J. Blige, Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Florence Welch, Gary Clark, Jr., John Mayer, Lady Gaga, Bruce Springsteen, The Black Keys, Gwen Stefani, Keith Urban, Tom Waits, Bonnie Raitt, John Fogerty, Katy Perry, Dave Grohl, Carrie Underwood, Taj Mahal and Sheryl Crow.

Recently rumors have circulated that Adele could be one of the special guests when The Rolling Stones perform at Hyde Park in July. However, this has been denied by the band, though a less definite response was given by Adele's representative.

"When asked if there was any truth in the story, the Stones' publicist offered a one-word reply: 'No.' Adele's publicist was less forthright, saying: 'I have no comment on their story'," said an article in The Guardian.

According to a report on www.billboard.com, dated May 24, The Rolling Stones, who many consider "The Greatest Rock 'n' Roll Band in the World", topped the weekly Hot Tours chart. They earned $34 million in reported box office revenue from the concerts held in the first five cities on their 50 & Counting Tour in 2013.
