Miami Heat forward Chris Bosh told reporters he hasn't talked with LeBron James since James's decision to sign with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Bosh then said he doesn't have "much time" for anybody not on the team, seemingly suggesting his friendship with James took a hit when the former MVP left Miami.
Bosh admitted on Tuesday he hasn't talked to James since he decided to leave the Heat, according to ESPN. He also didn't sound excited about the chance to see James on Saturday, when Cleveland and Miami play a preseason game in Rio de Janeiro.
"Yeah ... I don't know," Bosh said. "... I'm in the mode where I'm trying to lead my team, help these guys out around. If guys aren't in this locker room, I don't have much time for them - if any."
Bosh apparently feels different from teammate Dwyane Wade, who said he and James would be competitors on the court but still friends outside of basketball.
"You know, we're still gonna be friends, and we're still gonna compete our ass off, until the day we can't compete no more," Wade told Bleacher Report last week.
Cleveland and Miami play each other again on Christmas Day. Bosh understands the hype that will come with the game, and he sounded happy to get it out of the way early.
"Everybody's going to hype it up, and it's going to be a big deal," he said. "But for us, it's just another opportunity to get better. We know everything that's surrounding the situation, and it is what it is. As far as we're concerned, this is our team, this is what we're trying to build toward, the past is the past, we're moving on, and it's good to get this out of the way."
