NFL: University of Miami to Induct Late Sean Taylor into Hall of Fame (VIDEO)

Former Washington Redskins star safety Sean Taylor headlines the University of Miami's 2015 Hall of Fame inductees, the Miami Herald reports. The collection of 10 former standout Hurricanes athletes will be introduced at halftime of the Cincinnati game on Saturday at Sun Life Stadium.

"This is an impressive class that reflects the highest level of athletic talent representative of The U," Hall of Fame president K.C. Jones said in a written statement.

Taylor was killed by a gunman during a home invasion in 2007 at his house in Miami.

Taylor earned Big East Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2003 when he tied a school record with 10 interceptions. The Redskins selected him with the fifth pick in the first round of 2004's draft.

Taylor went on to be named to two Pro Bowls and one First-team All-Pro in his three-plus NFL seasons. He had 308 total tackles, eight forced fumbles, 12 interceptions and 2.0 sacks in 55 career games.
