It's the Hylands vs. Miller again. It's no secret that "Dance Moms" star Abby Lee Miller doesn't get along with the mother of former student Paige Hyland. Last season, Kelly Hyland slapped Miller in the face and pulled her hair after getting into an argument.
Kelly - along with her daughters Paige and Brook - had previously filed a suit against the reality star and "Dance Moms" producers Collins Street Entertainment for defamation, emotional distress and breach of contract. According to ET Online, the family is seeking $5 million.
"Miller is paid to be abusive and bullying to her students and provoke arguments with the mothers in front of the children," the complaint read, according to ET Online.
Now the Hylands are back and this time 13-year-old Paige is suing Miller, accusing her of assault and abuse. According to TMZ, Paige claims that Miller "intentionally engaged in conduct that caused Plaintiff Paige Hyland to reasonably believe that she was about to be touched or harmed in an offensive manner."
"[She] feared she would be physically injured because she had observed Miller physically batter other people on the show including physically punishing [Paige's mother] Kelly Hyland's face, pinching another student until she bled and violently grabbing another student by the arm," the suit claims.
Paige also complained that the working conditions were unsafe for kids. According to TMZ, she stated in the suit that she - and many of the other girls - often worked 60 hours a week and sometimes had 12 hour days. She also accused Miller of intentionally insulting her dancers and yelling to add drama to the show. Paige is seeking more than $25,000.
"I'm not looking to make a lot of money off this," her attorney told TMZ. "I think what Miller has done to the kids is intolerable and has got to stop. It's the most repugnant case I've been involved in after 49 years of practice."
