The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus continue to gain popularity around the world, with Apple announcing Monday that it will make the two new devices available in 36 more countries by the end of the month.
Apple said the release of the new iPhones will be the fastest iPhone launch it has ever achieved, with the devices expected to be available in 115 countries by the end of the year, according to CNET. The extra 36 countries for October would put the launch at 69 countries so far.
The goal for the launch is to release the devices in China, India, and other growing foreign markets, as they are Apple's main target for increasing the growth of its sales.
The iPhone 6 and 6 Plus were first made available in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., France, Germany, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan and Australia, 9 to 5 Mac reported. 24 more countries were announced on Sept. 26th to be getting the devices.
People in China can still pre-order the new iPhones, and have reportedly placed orders for over 20 million devices.
The iPhone 6/6 Plus will be released on the following days this month, CNET reported:
October 17th: China, India and Monaco
October 23rd: Israel
October 24th: Czech Republic, French West Indies, Greenland, Malta, Poland, Reunion Island and South Africa
October 30th: Bahrain and Kuwait
October 31st: Albania, Bosnia, Croatia, Estonia, Greece, Guam, Hungary, Iceland, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Macau, Macedonia, Mexico, Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia, South Korea, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Ukraine and Thailand
Apple's launch announcement comes as the Cupertino, California-based company prepares for its launch event on Thursday, which is expected to see the debut of new iPads, new Macs and the OS X Yosemite operating system.
