The wait is over. Season 5 of AMC's "The Walking Dead" premiered Sunday night (Oct. 12) and it had us on the edge of our seats - and screaming at the TV - the entire time. The hour-long show had a few sweet moments - did you see the way Daryl hugged Carol?! - but was also full of twists and turns. We actually felt a little bad for the Termites? Just a little.
Check out our recap of the Season 5 premiere "No Sanctuary" but be warned it does contain spoilers.
The episode started off with a bang. Gareth's men took Rick, Daryl, Carl and Bob into a slaughter room to be... well, slaughtered. He made them line up on their knees bound and gagged in front of a trough with four other guys from train car D.
One by one, a scary-looking bald man swung his bat at the men's heads, knocking them out while another man slit their throats. He was about to take a whack at Glenn when Gareth walked in and briefly interrupted. The bat-wielding man was interrupted a second time when an explosion went off, which we later learned was Carol's doing.
During the post credits, AMC teased a clip showing someone is following the group. It turned out to be Morgan, Rick's friend who was introduced in Season 1. The last time we seen Morgan, his son had died and he was a tad bit crazy. We couldn't help but wonder if Morgan will be a friend to group or an enemy?
