The similarities between Billy Eichner and the man in Burger King's new chicken nuggets commercial didn't go unnoticed by the comedian.
The man shares a striking resemblance to Eichner and his performance in the ad mimics the comedian's "Billy on the Street" routine of bombarding pedestrians with rapid-fire questions. Eichner expressed his displeasure with Burger King via Twitter.
"Hey @BurgerKing-thanks for stealing my act for ur new commercial!! Except its not as funny & everyone knows u stole it. GET YOUR OWN IDEAS," he tweeted on Oct. 12.
Eichner also added a public plea to the fast food chain to stop serving fattening food.
"Oh and @BurgerKing once you're done stealing my comedy please stop making people morbidly obese!!! Thanks so much!!!" he tweeted.
Eichner upped the stakes when he passed off one tweet as a retweet from an Islamic State Twitter handle.
"RT @ISIS Burger King is our favorite place! We love eating there and so should you!" the comedian wrote.
He asked his fans to tweet Burger King to pull the ads and found support from celebrities such as Seth Rogen and Michael Ian Black, as well as Burger King's main competitor.
"@billyeichner Can't wait to see you! Oh, and bring Elena," McDonald's tweeted, referencing the popular "Billy on the Street" contestant.
Burger King has not responded to Eichner's comments.
