The Islamic State has released a fourth video of British journalist, John Cantlie.
The most recent episode of "Lend Me Your Ears: Messages from the British Detainee John Cantlie" came out after the Islamic State released an article, supposedly written by Cantlie, called "Hard Talk -- The Real Story Behind My Videos," reported Huff Post Media. The article reportedly scolds Western governments for not negotiating with the Islamic State for the release of hostages.
In the video, Cantile appears to read from a script and advises that closing Western borders instead of invading other countries would serve the governments more. Cantile says that the U.S.'s desire for war "only makes the Jihadist movement stronger and they are dug in for the fight."
According to Huff Post Media, Cantlie was taken hostage in Syria in 2012 and rescued after a week of captivity by the Free Syrian Army. Cantlie was taken hostage a second time after returning to Syria, the last time with U.S. journalist James Foley, who was beheaded by ISIS in August.
James Foley's parents are asking the U.S. government to consider negotiations for the release of the remaining prisoners, according to CNN. "Eventually I think we're going to have to negotiate," John Foley, James Foley's father, said on French radio. "This situation is not going to be solved by military intervention and money alone. So at some point in time, people are going to have to talk."
