Quicksilver’s epic slow motion scene in “X-Men: Days of Future Past” was no easy task.
The “X-Men: Days of Future Past” production released a behind-the-scenes clip to Wired magazine. The video revealed how the film’s crew edited the segment in order to make the scene as “realistic” as possible.
Evan Peters, who plays Quicksilver, had to run on a treadmill while a huge fan blew wind on him, which pulled back the skin on his face. Though the shot came out fantastic, Peters compared the sensations on his face as what it would feel like if he were to go skydiving.

Speaking of Quicksilver, there are rumors FOX is developing a TV series inspired by its “X-Men” franchise. Film Divider reports insiders claimed executives were looking at Quicksilver to take on the leading male in the franchise, and possibly considering Peters to reprise the role on the small screen.
However, sources also claimed there could be a female lead to head up the next “X-Men” franchise.
“Most recently, we’ve been told, there was some question of having a female lead for the show,” according to Film Divider. “That’s a good thing for a number of reasons. Firstly, any female-led show is not only good for redressing the balance, it would stand out on the schedules. Such shows are still an exception rather than 50 [percent] of the rule.”
Unfortunately for fans, FOX has yet to confirm a live-action “X-Men” series is in development.
